Overview

iNK007 is an experimental chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered natural killer (NK) cell therapy derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). Developed by Cell Inspire Biotechnology, iNK007 is designed to target Tumor-Associated Calcium Signal Transducer 2 (TROP2), a glycoprotein that is highly expressed in a variety of solid tumors, including lung, breast, and gastric cancers, while having limited expression in normal tissues. The use of iPSC-derived NK cells allows for the production of a standardized, off-the-shelf therapeutic product, potentially overcoming the limitations of patient-specific autologous therapies. By binding to TROP2 on the surface of cancer cells, the CAR-NK cells are activated to exert direct cytotoxic effects, leading to tumor cell lysis. iNK007 is currently in the preclinical stage of development, undergoing in vitro validation for the treatment of TROP2-positive solid tumors.
