Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**INL-003 (COLLAGUARD)** is a collagen-based surgical barrier film designed to prevent postoperative adhesions. Developed by Innocoll Technologies as a bioresorbable Type I bovine collagen matrix, it acts physically to separate tissue surfaces during the critical healing period, reducing adhesion formation without pharmacological activity. It was intended for use in abdominal and pelvic surgeries prone to adhesions, such as those following herniorrhaphy or laparotomy, with preclinical safety studies completed but no successful advancement to approval noted[10][16][19].
