Drug intelligence / Profile preview
INM-176 is a standardized ethanolic extract derived from the root of Angelica gigas Nakai, a plant traditionally used in Korean medicine. The extract contains bioactive compounds including decursin and decursinol, which function primarily as acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitors. This mechanism increases brain levels of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter essential for memory and cognition. INM-176 also exhibits neuroprotective properties through anti-inflammatory activities and protection against beta-amyloid peptide-induced neuronal damage. It has been investigated primarily for cognitive disorders including Alzheimer's disease and age-related memory impairment.
