Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Innopea is a dietary supplement and food for special medical purposes (FSMP) developed by INNventa Pharm, specifically formulated for the management of chronic and neuropathic pain. The product contains a combination of palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) and B-complex vitamins, including thiamine (B1), pyridoxine (B6), and cyanocobalamin (B12). Palmitoylethanolamide is an endogenous fatty acid amide that acts as a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-α) agonist. By activating PPAR-α, PEA modulates neuroinflammation and pain signaling pathways, particularly by downregulating the activity of mast cells and microglia. The addition of B vitamins supports the metabolic health and regeneration of peripheral nerves. Innopea is marketed for conditions such as sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, and diabetic neuropathy.
