Drug intelligence / Profile preview
InnovaMatrix PD is a next-generation wound care product composed of a particulate form of porcine placental extracellular matrix (ECM). Developed by Triad Life Sciences (acquired by Convatec), it is designed to provide a scaffold for cellular infiltration and tissue regeneration in complex, hard-to-heal wounds. Unlike human-derived placental tissues, InnovaMatrix PD utilizes a porcine source, which allows for a more scalable and controlled manufacturing process while retaining essential ECM components like collagen, glycosaminoglycans, and growth factors. It is primarily indicated for the management of chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), venous leg ulcers (VLUs), and pressure ulcers. The particulate format (PD) allows for better coverage of irregular wound beds and deep tunneling wounds compared to traditional sheet grafts.
