INO-3510 is a synthetic DNA vaccine developed by Inovio Pharmaceuticals as part of its universal influenza vaccine program. The vaccine is designed to provide broad protection against multiple subtypes of the influenza virus, specifically targeting H1N1 and H5N1 strains. It utilizes Inovio's proprietary SynCon technology to generate synthetic consensus sequences of the hemagglutinin (HA) antigen, which are delivered as DNA plasmids. Administration involves intradermal injection followed by in vivo electroporation using the CELLECTRA-3P device, a method intended to enhance the uptake of the DNA by host cells and boost the resulting immune response. INO-3510 has been evaluated in Phase I clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in healthy adults.
