Overview

INO-4212 + INO-9012 is a combination of two investigational DNA-based immunotherapies developed by Inovio Pharmaceuticals. **INO-4212** is a polyvalent DNA vaccine designed to prevent and treat Ebola virus infections. It consists of two plasmids (INO-4201 and INO-4202) encoding Ebola glycoprotein antigens, delivered via electroporation using the CELLECTRA device. The vaccine stimulates an immune response against the Ebola virus by inducing both antibody and T-cell responses[1][4][7]. **INO-9012** is a DNA plasmid encoding interleukin 12 (IL‑12), an immunostimulatory cytokine that enhances T-cell responses and promotes interferon-gamma production, further boosting immune activation against viral or tumor antigens[3]. When administered together, these agents aim to enhance the magnitude and quality of immune responses for improved protection or therapy against Ebola virus infection[1][3]. Both are investigational products not approved for any indication.
