Overview

INO-464 (seviteronel) is an orally bioavailable dual inhibitor of cytochrome P450c17a (CYP17) 17,20-lyase and androgen receptor (AR), developed for the treatment of hormone-driven cancers such as metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. It competitively inhibits both wild-type and mutated forms of the AR and selectively targets CYP17 lyase over hydroxylase activity[10]. Nab-paclitaxel is a nanotechnology-based formulation of paclitaxel bound to albumin nanoparticles, designed to improve solubility and delivery. It acts as a microtubule inhibitor that disrupts cell division in cancer cells[2][9]. The combination "INO-464 + nab-paclitaxel" represents an investigational regimen combining hormonal pathway inhibition with cytotoxic chemotherapy for enhanced antitumor efficacy.
