INO-5151 is a therapeutic cancer vaccine composed of a combination of DNA plasmids encoding interleukin-12 (via the INO-9012 formulation), prostate-specific antigen (PSA), and prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) (via the INO-5150 formulation). It is designed to stimulate an anti-tumor immune response by activating cytotoxic T lymphocytes against prostate cancer cells. The drug is administered intramuscularly with electroporation to enhance cellular uptake. Developed primarily for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), it has been evaluated in combination with other immunotherapies such as CDX-301 (FLT3 ligand) and nivolumab in clinical trials. The primary developer is Inovio Pharmaceuticals, often in collaboration with the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy[1][2][4][6].
