Overview

Inosi IRAP inhibitor is a novel small molecule inhibitor of Insulin-Regulated Aminopeptidase (IRAP, also known as LNPEP) being developed by Inosi Therapeutics for the treatment of various fibrotic diseases. IRAP is an enzyme found at elevated levels in diseased heart and kidney tissues, particularly in the context of diabetes and cardiovascular conditions. By inhibiting this enzyme, the drug demonstrates anti-fibrotic effects, with preclinical evidence showing it can reverse established fibrosis and improve organ function across several models, including cardiac, renal, lung, and liver fibrosis. The program originated from collaborative research at Monash University and is currently in IND-enabling studies, targeting indications such as chronic kidney disease, diabetic kidney disease, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
