Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Inovocox** is a USDA-licensed veterinary live oocyst vaccine for prevention of coccidiosis in broiler chickens. It contains live oocysts of *Eimeria acervulina*, *Eimeria maxima*, and *Eimeria tenella*; the original formulation included two *E. maxima* strains. Administered in ovo to 18- to 19-day embryonated chicken eggs or orally to day-old chickens, it exposes birds to coccidia early in life and induces protective active immunity against subsequent intestinal infection. The product was originated by Embrex, subsequently developed by Pfizer Animal Health and Zoetis, and is currently marketed and manufactured by Huvepharma.
