INP12 consists of nanoparticles with encapsulated paclitaxel designed as a model for low bioavailable drugs. These nanoparticles have demonstrated increased bioavailability with low toxicity and high efficacy due to their highly bioadhesive properties. They can improve antigen presentation to immunocompetent cells through mucosal administration routes (oral, intranasal, pulmonary). By mimicking the size of microorganisms like bacteria and viruses, these nanocarriers can be taken up by immune cells and modulate their responses, making them potentially useful for vaccine development or immunotherapy treatments for allergies.
