Drug intelligence / Profile preview
INP30 is an oral prophylactic vaccine candidate for COVID-19 developed by InnoUp Farma in collaboration with the University of Navarra. The vaccine utilizes a proprietary nanotechnology platform that employs biocompatible nanoparticles with high bio-adhesive properties to the intestinal mucosa. This delivery system is designed to encapsulate vaccine antigens, protecting them from degradation in the gastrointestinal tract and enabling their delivery to the mucosal immune system. By targeting the gut-associated lymphoid tissue, INP30 aims to induce both systemic and mucosal immunity against SARS-CoV-2. The platform is versatile, capable of carrying protein, RNA, or DNA payloads, though INP30 is specifically focused on SARS-CoV-2 prevention and has advanced into Phase 1/2 clinical development.
