InSea2 is a proprietary, standardized blend of polyphenols extracted from the brown seaweeds Ascophyllum nodosum and Fucus vesiculosus. It is designed as a dietary supplement ingredient for the support of healthy glycemic response and metabolic health. The mechanism of action is primarily through inhibition of the digestive enzymes alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase, which are involved in the breakdown of dietary starches and sugars, thereby reducing the rate of carbohydrate absorption and post-prandial blood glucose spikes. InSea2 has been studied in healthy, overweight, prediabetic, and diabetic adults, showing effects on glycemic control, weight management, insulin sensitivity, and metabolic syndrome markers. It does not itself contain significant pharmaceutical activity but works as a dietary supplement for modulating carbohydrate metabolism, with clinical studies supporting moderate efficacy for reducing post-meal glucose response and improving metabolic health markers[1][3][4][5].
