Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Insuget** is a brand of recombinant human insulin (rDNA origin) produced by Getz Pharma, available in multiple formulations including regular (soluble) insulin (Insuget R), intermediate-acting NPH/isophane insulin (Insuget N), and biphasic mixtures (Insuget 70/30 with 70% NPH and 30% regular). It binds to insulin receptors on liver, muscle, and adipose tissue, inhibiting hepatic glucose production, promoting glucose uptake, and suppressing lipolysis to control blood glucose levels. Primarily indicated for type 1 diabetes mellitus, type 2 diabetes (alone or with oral agents), gestational diabetes, and emergency management of diabetic ketoacidosis; administered subcutaneously with rapid (4-6 hours), intermediate (up to 24 hours), or biphasic action depending on the variant.[1][2][3][4][6]
