Overview

A combination therapy consisting of insulin and empagliflozin used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Empagliflozin works in the kidneys to prevent absorption of glucose, while insulin helps to control blood glucose levels directly. Clinical trials have shown that this combination produces clinically meaningful reductions in glycated hemoglobin levels, plasma glucose concentrations, bodyweight, and blood pressure.
