Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Insulin-GLP1 is a preclinical-stage biologic drug candidate being developed by Sekkei Bio for the treatment of diabetes and obesity. Designed as a dual agonist, the molecule targets both the insulin receptor and the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor. This fusion or conjugate approach aims to integrate the potent glucose-lowering effects of insulin with the metabolic benefits of GLP-1 receptor activation, such as enhanced insulin secretion, slowed gastric emptying, and weight reduction. The program is currently in the discovery and preclinical development phase, with no clinical data yet available.
