Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Insulin human + insulin isophane human (30/70) is a premixed insulin formulation developed by Shreya Biotech (Shreya Life Sciences) and marketed under the brand name Shreulin 30/70. This biological product combines 30% regular human insulin, which provides rapid-acting glycemic control, with 70% neutral protamine hagedorn (NPH) insulin, an intermediate-acting form that provides basal coverage. The drug acts as an agonist at the insulin receptor, stimulating glucose uptake into skeletal muscle and adipose tissue while simultaneously inhibiting hepatic glucose production. Administered via subcutaneous injection, it is approved for the management of diabetes mellitus, offering a simplified regimen by providing both prandial and basal insulin in a single dose. It is available in 40 IU and 100 IU concentrations in 10 mL vials.
