Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) small interfering RNA is a therapeutic modality designed to silence the expression of the IGF-1 gene through the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway. By targeting the mRNA transcript of IGF-1, these siRNAs trigger its degradation, thereby reducing the production of the IGF-1 protein.
