Drug intelligence / Profile preview
INT-401 is a bacteriophage-based veterinary therapeutic candidate developed by Intralytix for the prevention and treatment of *Clostridium perfringens* infections in poultry. Bacteriophages are viruses that specifically infect and lyse bacteria, offering an environmentally friendly alternative to antibiotics. INT-401 has demonstrated excellent safety and efficacy in preliminary proof-of-concept studies but is not yet fully optimized or commercialized. Its primary application is in animal health, particularly for agriculturally important animals such as poultry, to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with *Clostridium perfringens* infections[3].
