Drug intelligence / Profile preview
INT-777 is a small molecule TGR5 agonist developed by Intercept Pharmaceuticals. It is being investigated for the treatment of chronic fibrotic and metabolic diseases, including type 2 diabetes and related metabolic disorders. Intercept Pharmaceuticals entered into a research agreement with Servier for its TGR5 program, which includes INT-777. Under this agreement, Servier is responsible for global development, regulatory approval, and commercialization of any selected lead candidate, excluding the U.S. and Japan, where Intercept retains all rights. The development of INT-777 was supported by a Series B financing round from Genextra, aimed at advancing Intercept's clinical programs for its lead compounds.
