Drug intelligence / Profile preview
INT101 is an investigational trivalent recombinant virus-like particle (VLP) vaccine developed by InThera for the prevention of acute gastroenteritis caused by norovirus infection. The vaccine is produced using a proprietary E. coli expression system that enables high-purity, uniform VLP self-assembly in vitro, avoiding insect cell-derived impurities. It contains VLP antigens representing three epidemiologically significant norovirus genotypes: GII.3, GII.4, and GII.17. INT101 is administered via intramuscular injection and is designed to elicit robust protective humoral and mucosal immune responses against norovirus. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development in healthy adults.
