INT200

INT200 is an intranasal formulation of a small molecule orexin receptor agonist being developed for the treatment of narcolepsy and other central nervous system (CNS) disorders. Developed by Inexia, a venture-backed company formed by Sosei Heptares and Medicxi, the drug utilizes the Exhalation Delivery System (EDS) from OptiNose to deliver the therapeutic agent to the upper nasal cavity. This delivery method is designed to facilitate direct-to-brain transport, potentially bypassing the blood-brain barrier and improving the efficacy of orexin-based therapies for sleep-wake disorders. The program was integrated into Sosei Heptares (now Nxera Pharma) following its acquisition of Inexia, aiming to address the underlying loss of orexin-producing neurons in patients with narcolepsy type 1.
