INT230-6 is a novel intratumoral cancer therapy developed by Intensity Therapeutics. It is a proprietary formulation composed of two established cytotoxic agents, cisplatin and vinblastine sulfate, combined with an amphiphilic cell penetration enhancer molecule known as SHAO (8-((2-hydroxybenzoyl)amino)octanoate). The SHAO excipient facilitates the dispersion and diffusion of the cytotoxic drugs throughout the tumor mass, enhancing their uptake by cancer cells while minimizing systemic exposure. This approach leads to direct tumor cell death (necrosis), improved immune recognition of cancer cells, and induction of a systemic anti-tumor immune response characterized by increased infiltration of T-cells into both injected and non-injected tumors. Preclinical studies have shown that animals cured with INT230-6 become immunized against subsequent challenges with the same type of cancer. Clinical trials have demonstrated promising efficacy in metastatic sarcoma and breast cancer patients, including prolonged overall survival compared to historical controls[1][2][3][5][7].
