INT301

INT301 is a clinical-stage oral mucosal immunotherapy (OMIT) being developed by Intrommune Therapeutics for the treatment of peanut allergy. [8] The drug consists of peanut allergenic proteins embedded within a specially formulated toothpaste. [1] This novel delivery method, part of the OMIT platform licensed from Allovate Therapeutics, is designed to desensitize the immune system by delivering allergens to the oral mucosa during daily toothbrushing. [2, 7] INT301 has completed a Phase 1 clinical trial (the OMEGA study), which demonstrated that the therapy was well-tolerated and met its primary and secondary safety endpoints. [1, 5] Intrommune is also in a collaboration with Inimmune Corporation to potentially combine INT301 with a rapid desensitization immunotherapy to create a single treatment offering both rapid and long-term effects.
