Drug intelligence / Profile preview
INTERCOAT is a bioresorbable gel formulation, also known as Oxiplex/AP Gel, designed to reduce the formation of adhesions following intrauterine surgical procedures. It acts as a physical barrier that separates tissue surfaces during the critical wound healing period, thereby minimizing post-surgical adhesion formation. The product is primarily used in gynecological surgeries such as hysteroscopic or other intrauterine interventions to prevent intrauterine adhesions (Asherman’s syndrome). Its mechanism of action is mechanical—providing a temporary barrier rather than exerting pharmacological effects[2].
