Overview

Interdict Bio's lead program is an orally bioavailable small molecule designed to treat MYC-dependent solid tumors. Utilizing the company's proprietary Interdictor™ platform, the drug targets the historically 'undruggable' MYC oncogenic transcription factor by a novel mechanism: stalling its translation. The molecule binds to the ribosomal peptidyl transferase center (PTC) and engages in sequence-selective interactions with the MYC nascent polypeptide as it is being synthesized. This context-dependent inhibition prevents the production of the MYC protein, which is overactivated in approximately 70% of cancers but difficult to target directly due to its disordered structure and rapid turnover. The program is currently in the IND-enabling phase of development.
