Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Recombinant Human Interferon alfa-2b Vaginal Effervescent Tablet is a biologic drug developed and marketed by Beijing Kawin Technology. The active ingredient is recombinant human interferon alfa-2b, formulated as a vaginal effervescent tablet containing 0.5 million international units (MIU) per tablet. The drug is a recombinant protein that works by stimulating antiviral immune responses at the mucosal site through interferon-alpha's immunomodulatory mechanisms. It is specifically indicated for the treatment of cervical erosion caused by viral infection and for the prevention and treatment of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. The product is administered locally by placing one tablet into the vaginal dome, typically once every other day.
