Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Interferon-dengue (IFN-Dengue) is a preclinical-stage, interferon-integrated vaccine candidate being developed by Canthevac for the prevention or treatment of dengue fever. Built on Canthevac's proprietary Interferon-integrated Vaccine Platform (IVP), the vaccine incorporates interferon—a protective human cytokine—directly into the vaccine construct targeting the dengue virus. This design is engineered to stimulate both B-cell and T-cell immunity against the virus. To ensure safety, the vaccine undergoes genetic modifications that prevent further replication or infection of other cells, thereby minimizing the risk of vaccine-induced disease while maintaining high immunogenicity.
