InterK Peptide Asset 3 is a preclinical-stage, non-naturally occurring peptide therapeutic being developed by InterK Peptide Therapeutics. It was developed using rational drug design to target the interaction between cell surface receptors and the Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase (MAPK) pathway, specifically mimicking the sequence of a receptor-MAPK interaction site. The peptide exhibits potent immunomodulatory properties and has demonstrated the ability to inhibit cancer growth in vivo in murine models. It is currently being investigated for two primary applications: the prevention of UV-induced melanoma (by addressing UV radiation-induced skin damage) and as a vaccine adjuvant to enhance the immune response to coronavirus and influenza vaccines. The mechanism of action involves interfering with specific receptor-MAPK signaling sequences to modulate immune system activity.
