Intracel KLH is a high-molecular-weight glycoprotein derived from the keyhole limpet (Megathura crenulata), used as an immunostimulant and model antigen in clinical research and immunotherapy. It acts as a potent T cell-dependent antigen that stimulates both humoral and cellular immune responses, including robust antibody production and delayed-type hypersensitivity reactions. Mechanistically, it activates innate immunity via nuclear factor κ-B pathways and drives adaptive immune responses through CD4+ T helper cells (Th1/Th2). Clinically, Intracel KLH has been investigated primarily for its role as an immunostimulant in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and carcinoma in situ. It is also widely used to assess immune function or the effects of immunomodulatory drugs in early-phase clinical trials[1][5][6][8][10].
