Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Intragel is a hyaluronic acid (HA) formulation designed for viscosupplementation, primarily used in the treatment of osteoarthritis. It is administered via intra-articular injection to alleviate pain and enhance joint function. The formulation contains 16mg of hyaluronic acid per 2cc, with an average molecular weight ranging from 800 to 1200 kiloDaltons. It works by restoring the elastoviscosity of the synovial fluid, thereby improving joint lubrication, shock absorption, and providing anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Intragel is developed and manufactured by IBSA.
