Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IntraVagS301 is a cannabinoid-based intravaginal drug product being developed by Gynica for the treatment of endometriosis and its associated symptoms, including chronic pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, and dyspareunia. The product is designed to modulate the endocannabinoid system, specifically targeting the Cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1) to provide localized analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. Developed in collaboration with Lumir Lab, IntraVagS301 entered Phase 1 clinical testing in March 2024 to evaluate its safety and pharmacokinetic profile in women with endometriosis. The drug utilizes Gynica's proprietary IntraVag platform for localized delivery to the vaginal environment, aiming to minimize systemic exposure while maximizing therapeutic efficacy in the pelvic region.
