**iNTS-TCV** is an investigational vaccine under clinical development for the prevention of invasive non-typhoidal Salmonella (iNTS) disease and typhoid fever. The vaccine is a combination product: it contains Generalized Modules for Membrane Antigens (GMMA) derived from outer membrane vesicles of Salmonella Enteritidis and Salmonella Typhimurium, the two most common causes of invasive NTS disease, adsorbed onto Alhydrogel, and is combined with a Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV) component. The parent bacteria are genetically modified to enhance GMMA production and reduce endotoxin toxicity by targeting the tolR, msbB, and pagP genes. iNTS-TCV is designed to induce immunity against the O-antigens of these Salmonella serovars and Vi polysaccharide of Salmonella Typhi, inducing antibody and cell-mediated immune responses. Clinical studies are underway to evaluate safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in healthy adults in Europe and Africa[1][2][3].
