Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The inulin-adjuvanted seasonal trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine is a clinical-stage biologic developed by Vaxine Pty Ltd. It consists of a standard seasonal trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine (TIV) formulated with Advax, a novel polysaccharide adjuvant derived from delta inulin. The Advax adjuvant is designed to enhance and accelerate humoral immune responses, including B cell affinity maturation and plasmablast generation, without inducing excessive inflammation. This vaccine targets seasonal influenza strains, specifically H1N1, H3N2, and Influenza B. Clinical development has focused on assessing safety, immunogenicity, and the potential for antigen-sparing formulations in healthy adults.
