INV-88 is a novel oral small molecule inhibitor targeting macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF), developed by Innovimmune Biotherapeutics. It was discovered using structure-guided drug design and specifically binds to the active site of MIF, causing conformational changes that inhibit its activity. By blocking MIF function, INV-88 aims to reduce T cell immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment and modulate immune responses implicated in cancer and autoimmune diseases. Preclinical studies have demonstrated potent anti-tumor activity as well as efficacy in models of rheumatoid arthritis and other immune-mediated conditions. The drug is currently in preclinical development for indications including neoplasms (cancer), nervous system diseases, fibrosis, and immune system diseases[1][2][3][4].
