Overview

INV-8989 is a preclinical small molecule inhibitor developed by Ionova Life Sciences, specifically targeting the KRAS G12D mutation. KRAS G12D is one of the most prevalent oncogenic mutations in human cancers, particularly in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, colorectal cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer. Unlike G12C inhibitors which target the inactive GDP-bound state, G12D inhibitors often aim to disrupt the signaling of the active GTP-bound state or prevent activation. INV-8989 is designed to selectively inhibit the mutant protein to suppress downstream MAPK signaling and inhibit tumor growth in KRAS G12D-mutant malignancies.
