Overview

INVA8003 is a first-in-class, small molecule pan-inflammasome inhibitor that targets the ASC protein (apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD, also known as PYCARD). By inhibiting ASC oligomerization, INVA8003 disrupts inflammasome assembly and activation across multiple NLR/Ps (NOD-like receptors/pyrin domains), resulting in broad anti-inflammatory effects. This mechanism has potential applications in treating a wide range of chronic inflammatory and autoimmune disorders—particularly those affecting the gastrointestinal tract but also other tissues and organs. The drug was initially developed by PRISM BioLab using proprietary peptidomimetic chemistry and further advanced through collaboration with InveniAI’s AI-driven discovery platform. Invea Therapeutics is currently developing the compound for clinical use[1][2][4][9].
