Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Invigorating Spleen and Resolving Dampness Remedy is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal decoction (Jianpi Qushi Fang) being investigated for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). Developed and studied by researchers at Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital, the remedy is formulated based on the TCM principles of strengthening the spleen and eliminating dampness to address metabolic dysfunction. Its mechanism of action is hypothesized to involve the modulation of intestinal microecology (gut microbiota), which in turn improves glycolipid metabolism and insulin sensitivity. The remedy typically comprises a complex mixture of botanical extracts known for their metabolic and digestive regulatory properties.
