Overview

INXN-3001 is a gene and cell therapy product that utilizes autologous dendritic cells transduced with an adenoviral vector encoding the interleukin 12 (IL‑12) gene under the control of the RheoSwitch Therapeutic System (RTS). This system allows for regulated, ligand-dependent expression of IL‑12 in vivo. The therapy is designed to stimulate anti-tumor immune responses by activating the interleukin‑12 receptor (IL‑12R) pathway. INXN‑3001 has been investigated primarily for cancer indications, including melanoma and glioblastoma, via intratumoral injection. The product was initially developed by Precigen and has also involved Alaunos Therapeutics (formerly Ziopharm Oncology), with Intrexon Corporation providing key technology[1][2][6][8].
