Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IO-125 is a novel platinum-based supramolecular therapeutic developed by Invictus Oncology. It is engineered to self-assemble into stable nanoscale structures that enhance tumor targeting and efficacy compared to conventional platinum-based chemotherapeutics. Beyond its direct cytotoxic properties, IO-125 acts as a potent inducer of tumor immunogenicity by modulating the tumor immune microenvironment and elevating the expression of immune markers such as PD-L1, PD-1, and CD8A. Preclinical studies in triple-negative breast cancer, lung carcinoma, and melanoma models have demonstrated that IO-125 provides superior antitumor efficacy, particularly when used in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors.
