Overview

**IO-VAC** is an individualized autologous dendritic-cell cancer vaccine developed and manufactured by IOZK. It is prepared from patient-derived monocytes differentiated into dendritic cells and loaded with antigens from the patient's own tumor-cell lysate together with immunostimulatory danger signals derived from Newcastle disease virus. The administered dendritic cells present tumor-associated antigens to the immune system, aiming to activate tumor-reactive T cells and establish antitumor immune memory. IO-VAC is used within IOZK's personalized multimodal immunotherapy approach for cancer and is not described by IOZK as a standard approved oncology treatment.
