Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IOA-359 is a novel, orally available small molecule inhibitor of the TGF-β pathway, specifically targeting the Transforming growth factor beta receptor 1 (also known as ALK5). Developed by iOnctura through an agreement with Clavius Pharmaceuticals, IOA-359 is designed to block the immunosuppressive effects of TGF-β within the tumor microenvironment, thereby potentially enhancing anti-tumor immune responses and inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis. The compound is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of solid tumors, acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS).
