Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Iodine (124I) evuzamitide (AT-01) is an investigational pan-amyloid radiopharmaceutical developed by Attralus for the diagnosis and management of systemic amyloidosis. It consists of a synthetic 45-amino-acid peptide (p5+14) that binds to amyloid fibrils and hypersulfated heparan sulfate glycans through electrostatic interactions. Radiolabeled with the positron-emitting radionuclide iodine-124, it is used as a PET/CT imaging agent to detect various types of amyloid deposits, including AL and ATTR, across multiple organs such as the heart, kidney, liver, and spleen. It has received FDA Breakthrough Therapy Designation for imaging cardiac amyloidosis and is currently in Phase 3 clinical trials.
