Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Iodine-131-aGPC3-Scfv is a radiopharmaceutical composed of the radioisotope Iodine-131 conjugated to an anti-Glypican-3 (GPC3) single-chain variable fragment (scFv) antibody. This construct is designed to specifically target GPC3, a protein highly overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells, but not in normal liver tissue. It is being developed for radio-immunoimaging to diagnose HCC and has potential for radio-immunotherapy by delivering localized radiation to cancer cells.
