Overview

Iodine i 124 monoclonal antibody m5a is a radioimmunoconjugate composed of the humanized monoclonal antibody M5A labeled with the positron-emitting radionuclide iodine-124. The M5A antibody specifically targets carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 5 (CEA or CEACAM5), which is overexpressed on the surface of various cancer cells, particularly colorectal and other gastrointestinal cancers. By binding to CEA-positive tumor cells, this agent enables noninvasive imaging using PET scans to detect and localize tumors or metastases expressing CEA. The primary clinical application is in diagnostic imaging for staging and monitoring of CEA-expressing malignancies[1][2].
