Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IOMX-0235 is a preclinical-stage, Fc-enhanced humanized monoclonal antibody developed by iOmx Therapeutics for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. The antibody is specifically engineered to target the C-C chemokine receptor type 9 (CCR9), which is highly expressed on gut-homing T cells that drive intestinal inflammation. By incorporating an Fc-enhanced backbone, IOMX-0235 is designed to deplete these pathogenic CCR9-positive cells, likely through antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), offering a targeted approach to managing chronic gastrointestinal autoimmune conditions.
