IP10.C8 is a small molecule dual-protease inhibitor developed for the topical treatment of inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis and acne. It acts by inhibiting two key enzymes—dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-4) and aminopeptidase N (APN/CD13)—which are involved in immune regulation and inflammation. By targeting both enzyme families, IP10.C8 modulates immune cell activity, suppresses cytokine production (including TH1, TH2, and TH17 cytokines), regulates cell cycle progression in immune cells, and activates regulatory T-cells. This broad immunomodulatory effect suggests potential utility not only in chronic inflammatory skin conditions but also in other autoimmune or transplant-related disorders. The drug was developed by IMTM GmbH (Immune Technologies and Medicine) and entered phase II clinical trials for psoriasis; development status for acne reached phase I[1][2][3][4].
