Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Iparomlimab + tovonralimab (also known as QL1706 or PSB205) is a first-in-class bifunctional MabPair combination immunotherapy consisting of two engineered monoclonal antibodies: iparomlimab, an anti-PD-1 IgG4 antibody, and tuvonralimab (also spelled tovonralimab), an anti-CTLA-4 IgG1 antibody, co-formulated in a fixed 2:1 ratio. Developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical and Sound Biologics using the proprietary MabPair platform, this combination is produced by a single cell line to concurrently target the PD-1 and CTLA-4 immune checkpoint pathways. By simultaneously blocking these pathways, the drug enhances T-cell activation and proliferation to mount a robust cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-mediated immune response against tumor cells. In September 2024, the combination received conditional marketing approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) under the trade name QiBeiAn for the treatment of recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer. It is also undergoing Phase III clinical development for various other solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, esophageal cancer, and nasopharyngeal cancer.
