Overview

iPB postbiotic is an innovative postbiotic product developed through the sequential fermentation of *Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus* GG and *Lacticaseibacillus paracasei* NPB-01 (DSM 34367). It is designed to enhance epithelial gut barrier integrity, modulate innate immunity, and exert antitumor activities, particularly against breast cancer. In preclinical models, iPB has been shown to reduce cell viability and migration across various breast cancer subtypes (including MCF7, MDA-MB-231, and SKBR3) while increasing apoptosis and HLA class I surface expression, which potentially enhances immunogenicity. Additionally, it upregulates tight junction proteins (such as occludin and zonula occludens 1) and mucin-2 (MUC2) expression, and stimulates the production of human beta-defensin 2 (HBD-2) in human enterocytes.
